Protests erupt outside Kasba Police station as 3 arrested in alleged Kolkata college gang rape
A 30-year-old man was allegedly shot dead by some miscreants while he was sleeping outside his residence in Bihar's Naugachhia district, police said on Friday.
The deceased has been identified as Suraj Yadav (30), a resident of Bhipu village, which falls under Nada police station. According to locals, the attackers threw the body half a kilometer from the crime scene.
“Suraj Yadav was shot and more than three bullets were fired. Once the postmortem report comes, it will be removed,” said police officer Dilip Kumar, adding that he did not see the body as it was they sent to Mayaganj for autopsy before we arrived. A police investigation is underway in this matter. Further information is awaited.
In an unrelated incident, three members of a family were killed, and three others injured after an artillery shell from an army firing range hit a house in Gulerved Gaya village late on Tuesday night.
Gulverd village is located near the Trilokipur range of Dhobi block in Gaya, where the army conducts its military exercises.
